Religion is the root of all evil. It's the culmination of our caveman ancestors gazing into the night sky, needing an answer to our existence, and ultimately capitalizing on it.

Religion has caused more harm than good. It is a wall which divides us.

The fact remains that NOBODY - not you, or your parents, or any single human being who has or now currently lives on this planet, TRULY knows who or what "god" is, if such a being exists, why we're here, if indeed we actually have a reason to be here, the meaning of life, etc.

All we can really do is speculate and wonder.

The Bible, the Koran, all of the holy books and texts and sermons and gospels, ALL of religion was created by man, written by man, published by man, and sold by man.

Debate it all you'd like. Religion is just an escape from the reality that you don't have the answer.

The only true value of religion is the morals and standards that it represents. How to live your life as a good person - don't kill, don't steal, take a day off from work once a week...

...but did anyone REALLY need to tell you that?
