Yeah if only Europe just accepted defeat and focused on defensive strategic key points instead of going on an all out offensive to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, but in the end greed destroyed Europe just for a patch of land, same goes for the Muslims, there were atrocities done by both sides but the atrocities done in the turn of the century by the Western Empires were despicable.
