It might be an interesting way of thinking to separate God and war. I always felt that war was in MAN's nature. They fight over politics, land, money, power, authority, and yes, religion, but does that mean we should do away with all these things?

Nope, it means we should stop hurting each other over theses things. I'm not going to try to convince anyone that there is or isn't a God, I know that that is a battle one cannot win, because the fact of the matter is, you can't shake someone's beliefs, whether it's in a god or not. But for the moment, I think we should note that people are always looking for an excuse to exert their superiority over others, and like politics and money, religion is often times used as one of those tools to say "I'm better than you." and it should not be used that way, but unfortunately it is, and it makes the religion look bad. When in reality, it's the person who's being a jerk.
