The classic example of moderates not speaking out was on the 7/7 attacks in London. They refused to condemn the bastards who blew themselves up. At that time I lived in a VERY "ghettoed" area and they were celebrating.

Literally 4 months ago, word on the grapevine is that it has to be a "blackout". muslims realised that they were garnering far to much attention and have thus sought to change their image. (Hence the sacrifice in Bristol last week).

You may pick up on the point of my unifying them altogether, and ive done it on purpose. No matter what people say, muslims ARE a unified body. Thats NOT to say they are all suicide bombers :rolleyes: but rahter that they watch each others backs.

Now on THOSE bases, would you want ANY entity whether it is Christianity, islam, turd collectors etc growing in such an alarming rate?

When usa bombed iraq, that are in same religion as albanias, what did you do as nation? Nothing! Not even a protest.

Albanians are dreaming the great (my ass) albania.
The word "bow" is cause the countries that they include to their plan, if you unite them it looks like a bow to the map.Including turkey.
They only way that they can get this is by war to Serbia, Bulgaria, Skopje, Greece etc

Heck, I believe that too and I am an Evangelical Christian.
I think the media has a big part in this and are to blame for
a lot of the finger pointing, blaming, and twisting the truth
about what is really going on. I feel Muslims are great people,
actually I have a really good friend that is a Muslim and his take is
the same, and feels the press has it so backwords.
You know like a few rotten eggs spoils the whole bunch. And that is
how I feel that the media has portrayed all the current events.
You really have to read between the lines to know what is really
going on with the press the way they are nowadays.
There are a lot of other avenues for news than just cnn or fox or all
the other big ones. That is where I get my news.

But see as bad as you think the media is. It's not the media's fault. It's our fault that we listen to that bullshit and believe in it. And sometimes even take it for granted. It's your choice to sit and watch that TV and its your choice to turn it off or change the channel. That's why you can't blame the media.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no where defending the media here, I'm just pointing out directly where the problem is coming from. Which is the TV viewers and not the TV itself.

what is really going on. I still say the media in a tad askew,
but you do have a good point.

I'm an atheist, but I'm from a muslim country. You should really review your attitude, people choosing to be part of one religion over the other is never "frightening". You should be frightened if the number of terrorists increase, not the number of muslims. It's really shallow of you, and I don't mean to offend, its just what came to my mind when I read your post.

plus, it is ONE SECT of christianity that article talks about, and it compares it to a holy religion. Hardly impressive.

You gotta hand it to Osama, the fact that Islam scored more casulties compared to Christianity is because of September 11.

I get that the image of Islam is tainted from most western perspectives - tbh im not a big fan myself - but I know it for a fact that if you were born a muslim in the east you would be pretty extreme. Not in a murderous way, you would be a devout muslim - i say that gathering your views on christianity's influence on your everyday life.

neoprobe, you have an interesting phenomenon. I can see the point where you coming from as I have lived a fairly similar life. Grew up in Iraq with a lot of muslim friends but I never was asked to practice any religion, My father is muslim by name and my mother is catholic. At a point of my life I realized the role of religion in this world and that's when I was shocked when I heard people associating terrorists to muslims and vice versa. Because I would remember my friends and how peaceful and open-minded they were yet they were muslims. I came to conclude that either way, religion that is based on scripture will always turn evil at some point. Moderation of Religion with scripture is the strain I fear the most because that generates the kind of people that take what they like from religion and leave or manipulate the rest to fit their own lives. And radicalism belongs to that group.

I came to realize that for myself, being non-religious makes life way easier for me to live and sort of cooperates along with my infinite-curiosity towards this world. I am by no means an oppressor or a repressor against any person out there as long as they didn't cause me harm. I feel that if religion was meant to be personal and kept that way we wouldn't have had a problem with it. But that's the main problem of religion. The fact that it promotes random acts of violence directed towards other people of other ethnicities makes it flawed. And in a big way.
