Yes religion brought us the crusades, the French wars of religion, the thirty years war...etc

Last time I checked your not supposed to judge other people, according to the bible.(therefore don't kill them because they don't believe in your religion)

Religion was used as simply as a morale booster,the crusades were to regain land lost to the turks.Do you think all those people would have died and risked going to hell if they knew if the war was just over land?
The french war was for 2 groups trying to control 1 country,just as ethnic groups fight in the middle east against each other.
The thirty years war is for the same reason as above. None of what you are saying was started because of religion.

It might be an interesting way of thinking to separate God and war. I always felt that war was in MAN's nature. They fight over politics, land, money, power, authority, and yes, religion, but does that mean we should do away with all these things?

Nope, it means we should stop hurting each other over theses things. I'm not going to try to convince anyone that there is or isn't a God, I know that that is a battle one cannot win, because the fact of the matter is, you can't shake someone's beliefs, whether it's in a god or not. But for the moment, I think we should note that people are always looking for an excuse to exert their superiority over others, and like politics and money, religion is often times used as one of those tools to say "I'm better than you." and it should not be used that way, but unfortunately it is, and it makes the religion look bad. When in reality, it's the person who's being a jerk.
