You'll have to find out which part has been fried and replace it. Nothing else to do.

It has to be something to do with the main computer cause it won't even boot up or load or anything.

if your computer is turning on, and nothing is happening, you are isolated to these only

1: not enough power
2: mobo fried
3: RAM fried
4: CPU fried
5: VGA fried

these are compulsory items to startup a computer

a power surge could cause you mobo or cpu to fry, chances are your hdd is still ok.

You say it is beeping when you switch it on, Is it just one beep or a series of beeps and what make is it?

You may be able to find your make on THIS SITE and look at the sequence codes of the beeps to help troubleshoot the problem.

Hope This Helps

Most common cause (that I know of) for 1 long and 2 short beeps is that it could be your video adapter (graphics card), try removing it and plugging your monitor directly into the mainboard vga port to see if it powers up, if it does you know you will need a new graphics card.

Yip sound like it to me too. If you dont have a onboard vga just try reseating the graphics card. But here is something you might wanna try if that fails. First make sure you are static free , then disconnect the main power connector from the motherboard then take out your memory modules place those on a static free surface. Next take out your graphics card and any other devices connected to the motherboard i.e. soundcard and such "Place those on antistatic surface". Leave all of it there for 15min then reseat everything. We found that static memory takes place about every 3months on most motherboards and that causes micro changes within the voltage supply chain which cause the system to pick up false errors i.e. BEEP Errors.
